LCKY Group, the Malta-based iGaming operator formerly known as Glitnor Group, confirmed on 20 October 2026 that it has completed its acquisition of RoyalCasino, an operator that works exclusively in Denmark. The deal was first announced in May 2026 and closed in August, following clearance from the Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden. The purchase price was not disclosed.

The transaction brings three Danish online casino brands into the LCKY portfolio: royalcasino.dk, kapowcasino.dk and valhallacasino.dk. RoyalCasino describes itself as one of the largest online casino operators in Denmark, a market that has been licensed and regulated since 2012, and says it has more than three decades of experience across land-based and online casino.

On a pro-forma basis, LCKY expects the acquisition to increase group revenue by 18-20% and EBITDA by 29-31%. The company said post-merger integration is already under way, with the two businesses moving towards a combined operating structure. LCKY also plans to use the deal as a platform to launch the RoyalCasino brands in additional markets.

LCKY said the purchase fits its strategy of what it called disciplined, value-accretive expansion in regulated jurisdictions. It expects RoyalCasino's established position in Denmark to improve operating leverage and broaden the group's geographic mix. The source notes that Denmark's regulatory environment is in transition, as a gambling bill re-tabled in October 2026 would introduce a whistle-to-whistle ban on advertising around live sport, with restrictions applying from 1 July 2027.

Richard Brown, chief executive of LCKY Group, said the acquisition enhances the group's scale and offers clear opportunities to strengthen its presence in Denmark, a market that aligns with its focus on regulated, sustainable growth. Per Petersen, chief executive of RoyalCasino, described the combination of local expertise and LCKY's scale as a great recipe for shared success.

LCKY Group rebranded from Glitnor Group in early 2026. Its B2C portfolio includes LuckyCasino, HappyCasino, FlaxCasino, Vera&John and OneCasino, alongside the newly acquired RoyalCasino. The group also operates the B2B gaming supplier Swintt and the investment vehicle Glitnor Ventures.
