SBC Summit Europe to focus on regulated markets at RAI Amsterdam in April 2027
SBC Summit Europe will run at RAI Amsterdam from 19 to 21 April 2027, targeting more than 3,000 operator representatives and stronger regulator participation, with a programme centred on licensed European markets.
SBC has outlined its plans for SBC Summit Europe, which will take place at RAI Amsterdam from 19 to 21 April 2027. The event was first announced in February and is positioned as a meeting point for the businesses, regulators and policymakers shaping regulated gambling across the continent.
The organiser is aiming to attract more than 3,000 representatives of operators active in regulated European markets, with particular emphasis on licensed operators from the continent's major jurisdictions. A programme to increase attendance by national and international gaming regulators will support this. SBC will also draw on its recent agreement with the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), as well as relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations, to bring gaming authority representatives to Amsterdam.
SBC CEO and Founder Rasmus Sojmark said Europe is not a single gambling market but a collection of regulated markets at different stages of development, each facing its own questions on taxation, advertising, player protection, consumer behaviour, AI, technology and channelisation. He noted that some jurisdictions are achieving strong channelisation and sustainable regulated industries, while others must confront the growth of offshore gambling and ask whether the balance is right.
The conference agenda will cover established markets as well as recently regulated and evolving ones. Topics include channelisation, taxation, advertising restrictions, player protection, affordability, black-market competition, licensing, compliance and the impact of new technology. Dedicated market-focused sessions will look at individual European jurisdictions in more depth, and regulators from different countries will have opportunities to compare approaches. Operators, in turn, can learn how regulatory thinking is developing outside their current markets.
The programme will also examine commercial and technological trends, including compliance technology, payment systems, sports betting platforms and data, casino, marketing and changing player behaviour. These themes will be reflected in an exhibition area for suppliers and technology companies serving licensed operators, alongside a networking programme linking operators, regulators, policymakers, suppliers, affiliates and associations.
SBC Managing Director Andrew McCarron said the ambition is to establish Amsterdam as an annual meeting place for the regulated European industry, with regulators taking part in the conversation rather than being discussed in their absence. Operators, regulators, suppliers and qualifying affiliates can apply for complimentary passes.
