Two players split $1.15M baccarat progressive jackpot on the same hand at Palms Casino Resort

The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas has paid out a progressive baccarat jackpot to two players who won on the very same hand. The total prize came to $1,154,924, and each winner received $577,462.

According to the report, the jackpot was triggered when all six cards dealt in the round were clubs. The Banker hand held three cards totalling 7 and beat a Player hand that totalled 0. Both players had placed the progressive wager in that round, so the top prize was divided equally between them.

The property has seen a number of large payouts during the year. In February, a player won a $609,346 Platinum Bonus Jackpot on the Whitney Houston Slots game by IGT. In May, a woman turned a $5 progressive side bet on baccarat into a prize of $1,117,842. The latest win adds to the resort's record of paying out jackpots across both table games and slot machines.

The Palms is described in the source as one of the most active venues in Las Vegas for six- and seven-figure jackpots, drawing both casual and more dedicated players. Even so, none of this year's wins match the largest payout on record at the property, which dates to July 2024. An out-of-state visitor then won $2.1 million on a $3 bet on the Wheel of Fortune game, reportedly while having just $0.46 left in their balance.

Progressive jackpots of this kind grow as players contribute through side bets, and they pay out when a rare predefined outcome occurs. Shared wins on a single hand are unusual, since the qualifying card combination must come up in a round where more than one player holds the progressive bet.
