ATG creates new product department and appoints CPO and CIO in group-wide restructuring

Swedish totalisator operator ATG has set up a product department under new Chief Product Officer Jesper Komstadius and named Therese Haeggblom Widmark as CIO, as part of a restructuring that began on 1 October 2026.

AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) has created a new product department as part of a group-wide reorganisation of its operating units. The changes took effect on 1 October 2026 and are led by Jörgen Forsberg, who serves as acting Chief Executive. The stated goal of the new division is to re-energise the operator's online betting platform and wagering services.

Jesper Komstadius, previously Head of Product, has become Chief Product Officer and joins the management team. He will be responsible for developing ATG's digital products and services. His earlier experience includes a role as Nordic Marketing Manager at Samsung. The new structure assigns clearer responsibilities for product development, commercial operations and IT, which the company hopes will improve corporate performance and investment.

Lotta Nilsson, CFO and Deputy CEO, said the clearer remit would give the company better conditions to develop products and services, set priorities and focus its development resources where they matter most. She added that customers should ultimately notice the change through better gaming experiences.

The commercial division, headed by Chief Commercial Officer Katarina Widman, will also be restructured. Horse betting, sports betting and casino will take more tightly integrated responsibility for their offers, marketing and sales. IT receives a clearer mandate covering stable and secure operations, cybersecurity, platforms and data. Therese Haeggblom Widmark is now Chief Information Officer and joins the management team. She had been acting CIO and previously led ATG's IT development. Her appointment comes as Daniel Santikos prepares to leave the company this autumn.

The restructuring follows ATG's plan to relaunch an updated V75 as its flagship Saturday racing pool on 28 November, replacing V85. Separately, Svensk Travsport is reviewing the Saturday racing programme so that races are more evenly matched and competitive, as part of efforts to improve the betting experience.

ATG is owned by Sweden's trotting and galloping sports organisations and reported group revenue of SEK 6bn in 2025. Surplus funds are returned to racing, and about SEK 2.3bn was passed to owners Svensk Travsport and Svensk Galopp last year.
