Sunbet renews Bede Gaming platform deal after 36% revenue rise in H1 2026
South African operator Sunbet has extended its technology agreement with Bede Gaming, which has supplied its platform for nearly ten years. Sun International reported a 36% revenue increase for Sunbet in H1 2026.
Sunbet, the digital division of Sun International, has renewed its agreement with platform provider Bede Gaming, continuing a technology relationship that has lasted almost a decade.
The extension follows a strong first half of 2026. According to Sun International's H1 2026 financial results, Sunbet's revenue rose 36% year on year, while its overall iGaming gross gaming revenue increased by 43%.
Under the renewed deal, Bede Gaming will continue to supply the platform technology behind Sunbet's operations in South Africa, Botswana and Namibia. The companies said Bede's configurable platform has supported the operator's growth into one of South Africa's leading online betting brands, and enabled its expansion beyond its home market into the two neighbouring countries.
Bede has also built technology solutions tailored to Sunbet's requirements, including integrations with sportsbook supplier Kambi and the customer relationship management platform Xtremepush. These integrations form part of the digital infrastructure that supports Sunbet's betting operations across its three markets.
Simon Gregory, Chief Executive Officer of Sunbet, said the company has big aspirations for its digital brand, which now operates across three markets and is delivering impressive results. He said Bede has supported those ambitions year after year, with collaboration and proactivity at all levels of the business, and pointed to an exciting roadmap ahead.
Kirsty Stewart, Chief Legal & Client Success Officer at Bede Gaming, said the company is proud of the relationship it has built with Sunbet and described it as rewarding to see the success its partner has achieved during their time working together.
The renewal comes as Sunbet continues to invest in its digital offering following its first-half performance. No financial terms or contract length were disclosed in the announcement.
