The Texas Lottery has announced that a $5 million scratch-off prize has been claimed by a player in Houston. The winner has come forward but asked not to be identified.

The ticket belonged to the $5 Million Titanium Black game, which, as the name indicates, carries top prizes of $5 million. It was sold at Super K, a store on San Felipe Street in Houston. Under the lottery's Retailer Bonus Program, the retailer may qualify for a $10,000 incentive for selling a top-prize ticket.

Tickets for the game are priced at $100. The lowest prize on offer is $150, so every winning ticket returns more than its purchase price. According to lottery data, the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 4. The game launched with four top prizes of $5 million, and with this claim only two of them are still available.

The announcement comes after other sizeable payouts in the state. About a month and a half ago, a player in Texas won a Lotto Texas jackpot that stood at $7.5 million at the time. Before that, a resident of Lake Jackson claimed a Texas Lotto prize advertised at $26.75 million. That player opted for a one-time lump-sum payment and received $14,303,717.61 before taxes.
