Raketech settles Casumba earnout for €8.2m, cutting the €20.3m liability by about 60%
Malta-based iGaming affiliate Raketech has agreed with Casumba Media's former owners to settle the remaining earnout in full for €8.2m. It will fund the payment with a €5.5m Bank of Valletta facility and €2.7m of existing cash.
Raketech and the former owners of Casumba Media have agreed to settle the outstanding earnout obligation in full for €8.2m (£6.88m). The existing liability stood at €20.3m, so the deal represents a reduction of roughly 60%.
The Malta-based iGaming affiliate said it has signed a sanction letter with Bank of Valletta for €5.5m of financing. That sum will be combined with €2.7m of existing cash to cover the settlement. According to the company, the agreement leaves it set to clear all remaining debts and obligations linked to the acquisition.
The matter dates back to 2019, when Raketech bought Casumba for €2m with the possibility of further earnout payments tied to performance targets. Part of the earnout was uncapped and based on results up to 31 July 2024. In May 2025, Raketech and the original sellers agreed to extend the remaining payment period from September 2026 to March 2028, with interest charges and all payments in cash. Raketech sold the Casumba asset for €12m in September 2025. As of 30 June 2026 the company owed €21.3m, which fell to €20.3m after a €1.3m payment and the addition of interest.
Chief Executive Officer Johan Svensson called the agreement a significant milestone that substantially strengthens the balance sheet. He said the favourable financing terms give the company a solid base to concentrate on its product strategy across Affiliation Marketing and SubAffiliation through AffiliationCloud.
The market reaction has been strongly positive. Raketech's share price has risen by more than 60% since the announcement and now stands at SEK 2.02, breaking the SEK 2 level for the first time since early 2026 and marking its highest point this year.
Profitability remains a challenge, however. In the second quarter of 2026, operating profit fell by almost 65% year on year to €392,000 from €1.12m, although Svensson pointed to sequential growth in revenue and EBITDA. Investors will get the next indication of the company's direction when it publishes third-quarter results next month.
