SBC and Dutch operator body VNLOK agree multi-year partnership for SBC Summit Europe in Amsterdam
SBC and VNLOK, the trade association of licensed Dutch online gambling operators, have agreed a multi-year partnership ahead of SBC Summit Europe, which debuts at RAI Amsterdam on 19-21 April 2027.
SBC and Vergunde Nederlandse Online Kansspelaanbieders (VNLOK), the trade association for licensed Dutch online gambling operators, have entered a multi-year strategic partnership linked to SBC Summit Europe. The new event is due to debut at RAI Amsterdam from 19 to 21 April 2027.
Under the agreement, VNLOK will bring senior executives from licensed Dutch operators to the summit. The aim is to ensure the Dutch market is strongly represented in wider European discussions on taxation, player protection, advertising restrictions, channelisation and illegal gambling. The organisers say the Dutch experience could offer useful perspectives to other regulated markets facing similar challenges, and that the event will create opportunities to explore further European cooperation. VNLOK will also contribute to SBC Media's coverage of the Dutch sector, sharing views on regulation, taxation, licensing and commercial sustainability.
SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark said the company's ambition is to establish Amsterdam as the annual meeting place for Europe's regulated gaming industry, bringing together licensed operators, regulators, policymakers and associations. He described the Netherlands as an important regulated market. VNLOK Chairman Björn Fuchs said the Dutch licensed market has much to share and much to learn from other regulated markets, noting that questions ranging from player protection to tackling illegal supply are common across Europe.
The partnership builds on SBC's collaboration with industry, legal and regulatory bodies, including the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) and International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL), which support the goal of making the summit a central forum for Europe's regulated gambling sector.
SBC expects more than 8,000 attendees, including over 3,000 licensed operator representatives, along with 250 exhibitors and sponsors and 250 speakers. The programme opens on 19 April with the invitation-only SBC Leaders Regulatory Forum, followed by two days of exhibition and four conference stages, including a dedicated European Regulation Conference. Three specialist forums will cover lottery innovation, player protection and sports integrity. Ticket sales are expected to open soon.
