A player in Minnesota has won a $2 million Match 5 prize in the Powerball drawing held on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. The top prize was not claimed, so the jackpot rolls over to the next draw.

The Wednesday jackpot stood at $566 million, with a cash value of $231.9 million. Nobody matched all six numbers, and there was no standard $1 million Match 5 winner. However, the Minnesota ticket-holder matched all five white numbers while the Power Play option was active, which lifted the prize to $2 million. The winning white numbers were 3, 34, 37, 42 and 46. The red Powerball was 20 and the Power Play multiplier was 3x.

Fifteen further players won prizes by matching four white numbers plus the red Powerball. Twelve of them will receive $50,000 each, while the other three, who had Power Play, will receive $150,000 each.

With no jackpot winner, the top prize has grown to $600 million. The next drawing is scheduled for 17 October. A winner would be able to choose between the annuity option for the full amount and a one-time lump sum of $246 million.

The game has also produced notable results in the United Kingdom, where Powerball launched in Great Britain earlier this year. A UK player has just won a $1 million Match 5 prize after matching all five white numbers. The first Match 5 win in the UK came in late August, when a player took $1 million in the final drawing of that month. Another UK player won $1 million in the 21 September drawing. The source describes these wins as a sign that the game is gaining popularity among British players.
