Gamban warns users about name confusion with Gambana online casino
Gambling blocker provider Gamban says it has no business relationship with Gambana, an online casino run by JJam Holdings Ltd, and urges users to check website addresses carefully after the similar names caused confusion.
Gamban, a provider of gambling blocking software, has issued a public warning to its users about Gambana, an online casino operated by JJam Holdings Ltd. The company said the two names are similar enough to confuse people who are trying to stay away from gambling.
In its statement, Gamban stressed that it has no business relationship with Gambana. It encouraged users to be careful when checking website addresses, particularly those who rely on blocking tools as part of their recovery. Anyone unsure whether they had used the correct service was asked to contact Gamban's support team through official channels. The company also invited people who had visited Gambana believing it to be Gamban to share their experiences, and said it is taking the matter seriously and working to resolve the confusion.
Gamban's software blocks access to gambling websites and apps on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS devices, and is designed to reduce people's exposure to online casino and betting products.
The warning comes as Gamban continues to use its social media channels for harm prevention and recovery support. Recent posts have featured personal stories of addiction, advice on coping with urges to gamble and discussion of the psychological factors behind problem gambling. One post described a user who has stayed gambling-free for more than 700 days, crediting his wife, Gamblers Anonymous and Gamban. Another covered urge surfing, a technique that encourages people to sit with an urge without acting on it.
Gamban has also expanded its partnerships. In August it announced a deal with Lewes FC for the 2026/2027 season. The semi-professional English club has campaigned against gambling advertising in football since 2019 and backed stronger player protection. Earlier in 2026, Gamban also partnered with the gambling regulator in Michigan to help players in the state self-exclude.
Gambana.com, for its part, promotes crypto casino games and sports betting. The platform launched a VIP rewards program in April that includes deposit bonuses, rakeback and free spins, and it has also promoted cryptocurrency trading.
