Securitize, a company that turns real-world assets such as equity and debt into tokens, has added the Stellar blockchain to its list of supported networks. The announcement came at Meridian 2026, the annual conference of the Stellar Development Foundation, held in Lisbon.

The firm already works with Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche. It is also known for issuing and managing BlackRock's BUIDL tokenized money-market fund, one of the better-known products in the sector.

Tokenization, which means placing assets onto a blockchain, has drawn growing attention in recent months. A rising number of companies say they offer, or plan to offer, tokenized versions of shares, bonds and commodities that can trade around the clock with few or no geographic limits.

According to the firms, Stellar is a fast and scalable network on which decentralized assets can be set up to support customer identification checks, clawbacks and sanctions compliance. Franklin Templeton operates a tokenized money market fund on Stellar, and MoneyGram uses the network to move money every day.

Securitize chief executive Carlos Domingo said in a statement that Stellar has built the fourth-largest ecosystem for tokenized real-world assets, which he described as a sign of the network's strength and of rising institutional demand for tokenization.

Securitize was founded in 2017 and listed on the New York Stock Exchange in July. At the time of the listing it also put its own stock on Solana and Avalanche. Its shares reached as high as $13.70 on the first day of trading.
