Powerball jackpot unclaimed after Halloween draw, three Match 5 prizes won in US and UK
No player matched all six numbers in the 31 October Powerball draw, leaving an estimated $770 million jackpot unwon. Three Match 5 tickets were sold, and the next draw offers $793 million.
The Powerball draw held on Saturday, 31 October, produced no jackpot winner, according to GamblingNews. The advertised top prize stood at an estimated $770 million, with a cash value of $330.1 million, but no ticket matched all six numbers.
The five white numbers drawn were 2, 4, 18, 50 and 56, while the Powerball was 20 and the Power Play multiplier was 3x.
Three players did match all five white numbers and won seven-figure prizes. Two of those tickets were sold in Georgia and in the United Kingdom, and each holder is eligible to claim $1 million. The third was sold in North Carolina. Because that player had added the Power Play option, the prize rises to $2 million instead of the standard $1 million.
Beyond the Match 5 winners, some 36 players won tier-three prizes by matching four white numbers and the Powerball. Of these, 25 won $50,000 each, and the other 11 won $150,000 each thanks to Power Play.
With no top-prize winner, the jackpot rolls over. The next draw, scheduled for Monday, will offer an estimated $793 million, with a one-time lump sum option of $339.9 million. If that draw also produces no winner, the prize is likely to pass the $800 million mark.
Recent draws have also paid out sizeable lower-tier prizes. Players in Florida and Georgia each won $1 million in earlier drawings. The 21 October draw produced three Match 5 winners, two of whom took $2 million each.
