Konami has reported a sharp rise in earnings from its Gaming & Systems business for the six months ended September 30, 2026. Segment revenue reached JPY 25.1 billion ($159 million), up 41.3% on the same period a year earlier. Segment profit grew even faster, climbing 154.4% to JPY 2.41 billion ($15.3 million).

The company attributed the results to stable conditions in its main markets, notably North America and Australia. New casino developments and replacement demand at existing venues created additional sales opportunities there. Konami pointed to the Solstice 49C cabinet, which it said had been well received, and to the BOMBERMAN game series, which continued to perform well in North America. In Australia, Dragon Rush and Bull Rush Stampede were reported to be delivering encouraging results.

Demand is also growing for the SYNKROS casino management system, which is being taken up by a rising number of casino properties as well as cruise ships operated by Carnival Corporation. Konami said more than 150,000 slot machines are now connected to the platform, which supports casino operations and is becoming a more important part of the gaming division. The company sees further room for SYNKROS in the cruise sector, where installations keep expanding, and noted that several casino facilities have also selected the system.

Konami acknowledged that competition in the gaming equipment market remains strong, with rivals regularly launching new products. Its stated response is to develop new slot machines, gaming content and additional features for its casino management technology. Last month the company said it would move deeper into the Class II gaming market.

The wider group also performed well. Consolidated revenue for the half-year rose 37% year on year to JPY 308 billion ($1.95 billion), while profit attributable to owners of the parent increased 70.5% to JPY 79.2 billion ($501 million). Digital Entertainment, Arcade Games and Sports all reported growth alongside Gaming & Systems, with every major segment contributing to the improvement.
