NetEnt releases Nunchucks, a 4,096-payline slot with four nun-themed features and 12,000x max win

Game provider NetEnt has released a new video slot called Nunchucks, which combines kung-fu film inspiration with religious imagery. The game follows four nuns who protect their parish from a group of mobsters, and it comes with its own soundtrack, which is available on Spotify.

The slot runs on a grid of six reels and four rows with 4,096 paylines. Its listed RTP is 96.21% and volatility is rated high. Bets range from 0.20 to 80, and the maximum win is capped at 12,000x the stake.

Each of the four nun characters brings a distinct modifier. The Colossal Nun is a Mystery Symbol that can expand from 2x2 to 4x4 before turning into standard paying symbols or Giant Wilds. The Wild Reel Nun uses a grenade to convert every symbol on a reel into a Wild. When a Colossal Mystery Symbol overlaps a Wild Reel, it becomes a Giant Wild. The Multiplier Nun adds multipliers to one or more reels, and these apply to all wins on the affected reels.

The fourth character, the Upgrade Nun, strengthens features that have already been activated. Under her influence, Colossal Mystery Symbols grow larger, as many as three extra Wild Reels can appear, and the number of reels carrying multipliers can double. Nun symbols may also trigger a respin at random, during which their modifier stays active.

The bonus round is tied to the mobster Sinpin, who appears on the Bonus and Super Bonus symbols. Landing three or more of them starts the free spins mode, with 8, 10, 12 or 14 spins awarded depending on how many symbols were collected. Nun Features can set off respins during either bonus, and those respins do not reduce the total spin count. In the Super Bonus Spins, Nun Features remain active for the whole round.

The game also includes an Elevate Features option, which lets players enhance their gameplay immediately or trigger the bonus directly, where such a feature is available.
