Bragg Gaming Group, an iGaming content provider, has announced a change at the top of the company. CEO Matevž Mazij is stepping down and moving into a strategic advisor role with immediate effect, while Morten Tonnesen has been appointed interim chief executive from November 6, 2026.

Tonnesen is already familiar with the business. He joined Bragg earlier this year as chief operating officer. In his new position he will be responsible for day-to-day operations and will report directly to the board of directors.

According to the company, Tonnesen has around 17 years of leadership experience across B2C and B2B iGaming, sports betting and technology. He co-founded BetWarrior and spent six years at PokerStars. On the supplier side, he has served as chief commercial officer at Shape Games and chief growth officer at Xtremepush. Bragg described his record as one of creating, building and exiting businesses and developing teams.

In his advisory capacity, Mazij will provide guidance to the board and help key stakeholders through the transition. Board chairman Matt Davey thanked him for his contribution, noting that he founded Oryx, which was later merged into Bragg to form a stronger business. Davey also credited Mazij with leading the company through a challenging period. The move comes a few months after Bragg appointed a new chairman.

Davey said the board's priorities for the next phase are disciplined execution, a stronger balance sheet, better operating cash flow, and the development and deployment of leading technology, content and services. He said Tonnesen has the operational experience to deliver on those goals and that the board has full confidence in him.

Tonnesen said he is joining at a good time for the business, pointing to its current position and geographical footprint. He said his focus is execution, delivering for operator partners and running a simpler, more focused company, and he thanked Mazij for his support during the handover.

Earlier this year, Bragg completed its acquisition of Drayton International, a multi-asset gaming technology and content platform.
